Upstream is Torgau - downstream is Lutherstadt Wittenberg. Somewhere in the middle is the small town of Prettin. From the dam, along the Elbe cycle path, here is a small view of the Elbe floodplain with the Elbe and the church tower of Prettin in the background. The Elbe, a river with many bends and boats, is definitely an inviting place to rest and have a picnic.
