The volcanic landscape of the Cañadas will probably make a lasting impression on everyone. Lava fields alternate with desert-like sections and rock formations as if from another planet. The cone of Pico del Teide towers over everything and chances are good that you can enjoy all this under an azure blue sky in crystal clear air. Absolutely recommendable!
crossing Las Canadas del Teide by bike is definitely one of the most beautiful experiences you can have on this splendid island. It is really beautiful to pedal in a lunar context composed of recent and ancient lava flows, rugged sandy and rocky territories, an infinity of colors and paths that run in every direction and all under the imposing Teide volcano!
Danger! The pictures are deceptive. It's extremely cold up there. Be sure to take a warm winter jacket, gloves and long trousers with you. Thank God there are 2 restaurants nearby where you can warm up again with hot drinks and hot food. I still trembled. When clouds cover the sun, it gets even colder.
