One of the curiosities of Camino Francés is the Irache's water & wine fountain.
It is located south-west of Estella, near Ayegui, at a former monastery that also served as a pilgrim hospital on the Santiago Way and was closed in the nineteenth century. In its place today is the Bodegas Irache, a company that hosts the Wine Museum and a rich cellar with hundreds of bottles of fine wine that has made the Navarre region famous for centuries.
In 1991, on the outer wall of the cellar, the company built a fountain with two faucets one for water and the other for wine intended for pilgrims facing the Camino.

After 50 km you reach the puerto nievo at 1750 m, then beautiful descent and then through a spectacular canyon always on the wild Rio Inugue over to Logrono.
