You can glide calmly and safely up to the Hallstätter Hochtal (838 m) in just 3 minutes, where the famous prehistoric burial ground is located. The panoramic view of the UNESCO World Heritage region Hallstatt Dachstein Salzkammergut is unique. Especially in fair weather, the Salzbergbahn Hallstatt is a delightful destination, whether for hiking, for a walk in the Hallstätter Hochtal or for an extensive panoramic view of the region. The brine pipeline route, which runs along the oldest pipeline in the world, starts right at the mountain station. The high valley is also the starting point for hikes on the World Heritage Trail, Remembrance Path, Soleweg, on the Plassen and the Steingrabenschneid! After a comfortable driveway on the Salzbergbahn, the 14-meter-high panorama lift will take you barrier-free to the new viaduct bridge that connects the Rudolfsturm (restaurant) and the walk-in sight-gazebo. Breathtaking views of Lake Hallstatt and the surrounding mountains invite you to linger.
