Thanks to the shallow depth of the Steinhude Sea (only 1.35 meters on average), the water reaches a pleasant bathing temperature early in the year. The Weißen Düne bathing beach also impresses with white sand and a large shallow water area - ideal conditions for carefree bathing fun, even for small guests!

From the nearby 180 meter long public jetty you have a beautiful view of the lake. Windsurfers and kitesurfers also benefit from the flat shore zones: the neighboring surfing beach offers suitable entry points. If the weather is good, you can experience many colorful sails and kites (stunt kites) in action. Due to the good wind conditions at the Steinhuder Meer, international races also take place here.

The White Dune Mardorf bathing area is located on the northern shore of Germany's largest flat lake, the Steinhuder Meer. The sandy beach with the large shallow water zone offers space for sunbathing and swimming. Rubber boats and air mattresses are allowed here.
Activities include beach volleyball, pedal boating, trampoline jumping, and a boat trip to Steinhude and the Wilhelmstein Island. There is a playground for children on site and there are several campsites nearby. Surfers can surf 500 meters east on the Steinhuder Meer.
There are limited parking spaces available. Bathing at your own risk!
