The Galgenberg is about 1 km outside the village of Wildendürnbach and consists of 184 press houses and wine cellars.
The name goes back to a gallows that was on this mountain until 1828. Nowadays the 256 m high Galgenberg is mainly known for its excellent wines, 40 hectares of vineyards are cultivated around the Galgenberg.
A church tower without a church watches over the cellar lane at the summit of the "Golingbiri".
The Galgenberg was named "Kellergasse of the year 2013"!
