The typical Westphalian moated castle stands on the site of a former Schulzengut and was built in the 16th century in the Renaissance style. It has been in the family since the 17th century. That's why the interior is not available for viewing. The three-wing moated castle from 1562 is privately owned, so you can only admire it from the outside. But it's definitely worth checking out because it was built from Baumberger sandstone, which is typical of this area.
