It's called "bază" (base) because this is where the chairlift that goes to "Șuior Cota 1000" starts from.
They have restaurants, both indoor and outdoor, a small water fountain, tent for wedding ceremonies, accomodation and 3 parking areas (you'll usually find a spot anywhere, unless it's a ski day or there's a wedding event).
Some popular outdoor stuff is:
- hike to Șuior Cota 1000
- hike to lake Mogoșa through the woods
- take the ski lift to Șuior Cota 1000 and hike Vârful Mogoșa from there
