The originally single-nave, in the core Romanesque building from the 13th century with a semicircular apse and west tower was extended in 1893 in the east cross-shaped. The historicist color version of the interior was restored in 1978/79.

The church is built in the Romanesque style, very well maintained and preserved. It's also worth taking a look inside. The row of half-timbered houses right next to the church is a feast for the eyes.
