This square was once part of the so-called Outer Market, which was created as a result of the expansion of Rosenheim in the 15th century. However, it has been completely redesigned in recent years, including the city stream being partially uncovered again.
The fish fountain on Ludwigsplatz is a striking work by Prof. Albertshofer from 1928. It is a reminder that fish used to be sold here.

On Ludwigsplatz stands the fish fountain, dating from 1928. It is a reminder that fish used to be sold here. Today, a green market takes place here almost every day.
