The wheelwright Heinrich Ullrich looked after the post office in Obergude in addition to his trade in the 70s / 80s. In order to give him a break on the wide postman's path to the Obergude forester's lodge, a bench was set up halfway under the trees, which is still known today as "Ullrich's Ruh".

Above Obergude you will find a bench with a sign for Ulrichs Ruh right on the edge of the path. This path leads directly past the forester's house and the source of Obergude. If you drive it up from Obergude, you get to the 3X9 high trail. Here you can then drive towards Alheimer.
