The castle, which adjoins the southern shore of Schloss Allmannshausen, was built in 1889 by the Munich contractor Heinrich Hoech and was originally named "Schloss Biberkor". The industrialist Peter Göring from Kochel rebuilt the castle in 1902 and officially changed the name to Schloss Seeburg. After several changes of ownership, it was sold by the widow Adolf von Brünings in 1941 to the National Socialist People's Welfare and fell after the end of the Second World War to the Free State of Bavaria. It is leased today to "Word of Life e.V.", a Christian child and youth work. In 2012, the Bavarian Ministry of Finance abandoned its plans to sell the Seeburg and Schloss Allmannshausen (municipality of Berg).
