The origins of the village of Eiershagen go back to the 9th century, when the first settlers settled here. With 135 inhabitants, the village is very tranquil today. Anyone who thinks that the village has something to do with eggs will unfortunately have to be disappointed: The name is derived from the first resident Agiher, who called his place "Agiherhagen".
