This beautiful work of art consists of 160 poles of six to twelve meters in length. The poles are in the shape of ten houses and a church. It is a reminder of the old Petten, which was flooded by the sea long ago.

Palendorp is supposed to mark where the old village once stood.

There are several markers where the village is said to have once stood.

(On the Panorama Dune, there is a large stone with several markers for the village.)

But Palendorp is a magnet and a MUST-SEE for everyone who visits the beach.

Firstly, because of the swing, and also because of the aquatic animals that gather and hide in the water spots between the posts.
