    PUJOLS, A MEDIEVAL CITY PERCHED AT OVER 180 M ALTITUDE

    The medieval city of Pujols, perched at an altitude of more than 180 m, dominates the bastide of Villeneuve-sur-Lot which spreads out its red bricks in the sun and offers a magnificent view of nearly 30 km over the Lot Valley. The old Albigensian stronghold has survived the centuries and wars while retaining its medieval character: remains of the walls and the castle, fortified gates ... In addition to the charm of its hall and its houses with white or half-timbered facades, the village is proud to have two religious buildings: the Saint-Nicolas church and the Sainte-Foy church. Still adorned with its 16th century murals, it now hosts exhibitions in summer, in the heart of the village classified among "The Most Beautiful Villages of France"
