Dettenhausen is an attractive residential community in the outskirts of the greater Stuttgart area and in the Schönbuch nature park with a good infrastructure and an active club life.

Around 5,400 inhabitants
Today around 5,400 people live in the community. After a strong population growth in the 1970s, the municipality has deliberately resisted the settlement pressure from the greater Stuttgart area over the past 20 years. The interdependencies in the economic areas of Böblingen / Sindelfingen and Stuttgart are very intense, which is also reflected in the population structure.

Optimal transport connections

The Panoramaweg Dettenhausen is the high path that leads from Dettenhausen to Weil im Schönbuch. It is located north of Dettenhausen and can also be reached directly from the Betzenberg and thus come directly to Weil without having to climb up and down the Schaichtal.
