The Siega de Valzanca is a hydraulic sawmill in the Venetian style, which was in operation until the 1950s. A few years ago, it was renovated and put back into operation by the Paneveggio Pale di San Martino Natural Park. Here you can experience up close how the wood was processed. Another war, people migrate, the world changes again, it's the 1950s and the sawmill is no longer profitable, machinery is removed, over time the roof collapses on itself and the area becomes a sort of landfill. When the establishment of the Ethnographic Path was decided at the end of the nineties, the ancient siega also comes back to memory and with the funds of the European Community we start to rebuild it in the area where it was thanks to the testimony of those who had worked there and he had kept vivid memories of those times and works.
