The construction style suggests that the bridge post-dates the Templars, but it is quite old. The bridge is said to be part of the pilgrim road from Paris to Santiago de Compostela, which would explain the interest of the Templars, responsible for pilgrimage routes, in the road. I am unable to judge whether this bridge is actually connected to the Knights Templar Order, as described in the highlight title (the exact name would be “Poor Knighthood of Christ and the Solomonic Temple in Jerusalem”). In this case it would have to go back to the 12th or 13th century.
