Schlemmin Castle was built in 1846 - 1850 on the foundations of a 14th-century water castle. For this purpose, the client, landlord Wilhelm Ulrich von Thun, hired the archdeacon Eduard Knoblauch from Berlin. The castle includes a 200,000 m² public park with over 50 different trees, including 700 centenarian oaks. On 4 km of walking paths you can roam the park and admire the seasonal flowers and the kitchen garden. The castle is today a hotel with various restaurants.
The current castle was built on the foundations of a moated castle from the 14th century between 1846 and 1850. It is one of the most important castle buildings in Western Pomerania in the Tudor style / neo-Gothic. Today the castle is used as a hotel with a restaurant. The extensive park is open to the public and invites you to take a walk.
