Update 2025: cycling is no longer allowed here. Free cycling is no longer possible in the Leuvenumse Bossen. Fortunately, several unpaved paths and of course the MTB route are still accessible, so there is plenty to cycle. Unfortunately, only the popular path along the stream itself is no longer there.
A beautiful winding path along a more beautiful meandering Hierdense or Leuvenumse stream. Sometimes wide, often a bit narrow... interspersed with wooden bridges that take you back and forth to the other side of the stream. A fantastic combination, which attracts not only cyclists but also many hikers. This path is therefore really one to cycle on in the enjoyment mode. Great for the gravel bike or MTB... nice party pace, say hello to the people around you and enjoy nature.
Please note: the stream floods regularly, especially in the autumn or after heavy rainfall. Parts of the path may then be difficult or even inaccessible. See as an example some photos that I added after a wet ride in January 2024.
