Chaco wash leads straight to the Chaco Culture National Park. Jeep tracks lead initially along its southern bank, and then cross to continue along its northern bank. An aireal photo map is helpful to distinguish between misleading faint jeep tracks, but generally stay straight west along the main wash. The wash is mostly dry, only in winter or early spring might there be some water, but be aware of flash floods after rains.
