Well preserved 13-16th century castle, with free entrance to Courtyard, rampart walk and moat gardens. On the first Sunday of every month, except July and August, and during major events (Heritage days, Museum at night, Nuit du VAN), the admission to the museum and the temporary exhibitions is free ! chateaunantes.fr
The Urban History Museum's display is arranged in seven major sequences, chronological and thematic:
- The castle, Nantes and Brittany through the ages until the 17th century

The Castle of the Dukes of Brittany is a large fortification in the heart of Nantes. The museum will be waiting for you with various exhibitions, taking you through the centuries-old history of the city.

Opening hours:
The courtyard of the castle is open daily from 08.30 to 19.00.
In July and August until 20 o'clock.

The museum is open every day except Mondays from 10am to 6pm.
In July and August from 10 to 19 o'clock.
On 01.01., 01.05., 01.11. and 25.12. it is closed all day.
