The Brunnenbachtal extends in the north of the municipality of Nuglar - St. Pantaleon over a length of around two and a half kilometers. At Neu-Nuglar the Brunnenbach flows into the Orisbach.
The small-scale diversity of different locations, the near-natural brook with accompanying wetlands and the mostly near-natural forest contribute to the high potential from the point of view of nature conservation.
On the initiative of the municipality of Nuglar - St. Pantaleon, the forests in the valley are to be cleared over a period of ten years, the Brunnenbach upgraded and the wet meadows in front of the forest restored. The orchids will bloom again in the forest, the fire salamander and grass snake will recover, and forest butterflies such as the large and the small blue butterfly can delight passers-by again.
