Bridge along the SP2 near Cavasso Nuovo. Here, in 1939, the first dam was built on the Meduna torrent by the Cellina-Meduna Reclamation Consortium, thanks to the concomitant interest of the SNIA of Milan, which needed energy to power its electrochemical plants in the lower Friulian plain.
The intake created the canal which made it possible to irrigate a vast area of alluvial meadows. Subsequently, on this canal, SNIA, through its subsidiary SAICI, built the first two hydroelectric power plants of Colle and Istrago.
