A wonderful place to rest when you have a snack with you. Mosquito repellent isn't bad either. The tree trunk with an imposing black woodpecker cave is worth seeing. Carved and provided with information about the forest and its history by the forester.

The Sternhütte is located at a striking crossroads. Seven paths meet here in a star shape. The hut offers covered seating, a fountain and a pond can also be found here.
The hut takes its name from the Vopelius star, which sits enthroned on a high trunk at the crossroads. Around 1820 this star was erected at this intersection by forester Vopelius.
