The Alte Schauenbugstrasse is no longer so well maintained. The surface is interspersed with fist-sized stones, so a bit bumpy. Nevertheless, the Alte Schauenburgstrasse is an easy option for MTB enthusiasts to avoid the normal mountain road. It is not a single trail, the path is too wide for this. But driving side by side is actually not possible because it is too narrow for that. There are also gutters where you have to be careful. You can also go up this path, if you have an e-mountain bike you have a clear advantage. Because of the permanent steepness along the entire length, biobikers work up a sweat.
