The fountain is decorated with a figure of the Princess with the Golden Ball and the Frog Prince. The fairy tale also gives it its name.
The fountain sculpture was severely damaged by vandalism on Ascension Day 2019.
Thanks to stonemason Kalus from Ammerbach, the fountain can once again be admired in its entirety.
Rosary beds and benches arranged in an arch around it invite you to linger.
