The Coastal Path, which runs parallel and is necessary at high tide, leads through a small forest, but is quite muddy and therefore slippery in wet weather!
Don’t attempt the Woodland path above Priory beach unless you have sturdy waterproof walking boots and are agile and sure-footed. It is muddy, slippery and in one place where a tree has fallen, part of the path has been carried down the bank and navigating that part was definitely dangerous.
