Presteneck Castle, a moated castle in the Stein am Kocher district of Neuenstadt, was built between 1579 and 1583. It is a three-winged Renaissance-era structure. A round tower stands at one corner (northeast). The Lords of Gemmingen (then the local lords of the Bürg district) commemorated their builders with a large, ornate coat of arms above the entrance gate.
From 1976 to 1981, the moated castle underwent extensive renovations, having been left to decay in the preceding years.
Since 1998, the building has housed privately owned apartments. Therefore, the castle is unfortunately not open to the public.
This moated castle stands in the middle of Stein a. Kocher and is a Renaissance building from 1580, very beautiful and I can recommend a visit, provided that palaces and castles are of interest to the visitor.🙋👍
