A Quaker eccentric named David Richardson purchased the farmhouse known as Wheelbirks in the 1880s, he set about stamping his mark on the landscape around his new home. The proud new owner of a small estate, he first of all carried out significant improvements to his new pad – and followed that up by building six new estate cottages.
Great coffee stop out in the middle of nowhere. Good selection of teas and coffees as well as all types of food from cooked meals to cakes, scones and ice cream. Nice seating inside and a really nice outside area to the rear when the weather is warmer. Very welcoming to cyclists too.
