While not technically the western terminus of the Luce Line State Trail, this is a great place to start and leave off, as there are picnic areas, bathrooms, and lake access. For those who like to bike/fish, the city website says the lake has walleye, perch, sunfish, black bullhead, and northern pike.
It's worth noting that most of this section of the trail is grass; it's clearly mowed compared to off-trail, but could get very soft in wet weather.
