The botanical collections of the Landschloß Kurbendorf with the castle and glass greenhouses in the castle park are open to visitors from the beginning of March when the camellias bloom. …
A small, very beautiful exhibition with information about the exhibits.
The exhibits at the country manor will illustrate 175 years of pyramid history. Besides the familiar pole, stand, and multi-tiered pyramids, there are also figures carrying pyramids, pyramid houses, and small cardboard Christmas mountains with built-in pyramids.
While the pyramids from the Saxon Ore Mountains rotate, the glass spheres, called "Märbeln" there, roll from Lauscha in Thuringia. Watching them roll is a special treat, thanks to the built-in spirals of colored glass. An old workshop for making these spheres will be recreated.
