ハイキング
Gimborn was pledged in 1273 by the Count of Berg to the Counts of the Mark and was from 1631 residence of the county Gimborn-Neustadt of the House Schwarzenberg. Since the princes resided in Vienna and Bohemia, the Gimborner castle was used by princely governors as official residence.

The castle can be approached from four directions. Great coming from the Leppestrasse, with the pond in the foreground or from Erlinghagen with the view from above.

The castle is privately owned by the people of Fürstenberg. It is used by the International Police Association as a seminar center for national and international seminars.
