There are 2 ascents to Poggio Stefano. One comes straight from the street and takes about half an hour. The other variant is the salita di Marco Olmo (famous over 70 year old Italian ultra runner), which goes off from Cala Coticcio. Badly marked at the beginning (to the right of the bay along the sea), the ascent is then marked by red flags (remnants from the last trail event) and countless cairns. The panorama and the 360 degree view are definitely worth it.

Poggio Stefano is the second peak of the Caprera ridge. The top can only be reached on foot and along a granite rock staircase. From here you can admire a breathtaking view.

I recommend avoiding the trail leading to Poggio Stefano to avoid the risk of being reported. The trail lies within a protected area, and accessing it without authorization from the National Park is considered a criminal offense under the Presidential Decree of May 17, 1996. The same applies to anyone hiking the trail to Cala Coticcio without an authorized guide.
