Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Rocks - a Marian sanctuary in the village of Podzamcze in the Silesian Voivodeship, in Zawiercie poviat, in the commune of Ogrodzieniec. It is located on the provincial road No. 790.
On October 14, 1818, an image of the Virgin Mary appeared on a limestone rock by one of the inhabitants of Podzamcze. Later, this rock was called the Rock of Our Lady. In a solemn procession, the image of the Mother of God was taken from the chapel in Ogrodzieniec Castle and installed at the site of the apparition, and the villagers lit the light every day. The water from the spring flowing by the rock was considered to be curative and the sick came to wash themselves with it. The spring, however, disappeared. In the 1950s, a small chapel made of stones and a light metal structure was built next to the rock. Until 1999, masses were held there. In 2000, a larger and more beautiful chapel was built in its place.
The new chapel, designed by the architect MSc. The Tondera brand, together with the statue of the Mother of God, is characterized by a modern style harmonizing with the surrounding nature. Entrance to the square in front of the chapel through a stone arch with a gate. A new belfry and 5 rosary stations have been installed on the square next to the chapel. A historic cross, made in underground conditions in the 1950s, was installed in the chapel.
