In the years 1942 - 1945 there was a prisoner-of-war camp in Dąbrowa. Soviet and Polish prisoners of Jewish nationality were held here. According to the information published by the Jastrzębia commune, the information on the obelisk about 240 victims is incorrect - in fact, about 1,000 prisoners of war died here.
Another piece of history in the area. A place forgotten at that moment, probably because of the war in Ukraine. Nobody liked the Russians. But history is history, had it not been for the presence of the Russians in 1945, the fate of Poland would probably have been completely different.
