The most famous public building is the historic town hall and at the same time a landmark of the city. The city mayor rules here and the Museum of Wine Culture is also housed here. The town hall is listed as an individual monument in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate's list of monuments and is one of the most important buildings of its kind in the Palatinate. The landmark of the city of Deidesheim is the baroque town hall. The core of the current building dates from around 1532.
Today it is one of the most beautiful and well-known buildings on the German Wine Route.
