In 1978, Peter Habeler was the first person (with Reinhold Messner) to stand on Mount Everest without artificial oxygen. The favorite mountain of the great alpinist is the Ahornspitze, from which one has a magnificent view of the entire Zillertal and its 3000 m peaks.

The view over the peaks of the Zillertal is simply indescribable and worth all the effort! If you are in the Zillertal it is definitely worth daring the ascent.
