The church was built at the end of the 13th century. In the first half of the 14th century, a tower was added, and in the 16th century, the old windows were bricked up and new window openings were made. In the 18th century, the windows were enlarged and a porch was added. Around 1900, the church was renovated, restoring its Gothic character. The churchyard is surrounded by a 16th century stone wall with 18th century gates. By the cemetery wall on the eastern side, there is a tomb chapel of the Tomaszewski family from 1746.
