At the Eishüttenplatz, the Moosach, which is called Feldmochinger Mühlbach here, flows into the Würm Canal coming from the south-west. Another course of the Moosach is the Berglbach, which leaves the subsequent Isar-Würm Canal at Schleißheim Castle.

There used to be a hut here where the workers could warm up after they had cut the ground ice in the Würm Canal while standing in the cold water. This work was and is necessary to prevent floods. The Schwebelbach flowing out of the Würm Canal at the ice hut square then takes the clods away with it.

Eisenhüttenplatz is located next to the derivation of the Schwebelbach (towards the north) from the Würm Canal. Almost opposite is the confluence of the Feldmochinger Mühlbach into the Würm Canal.
