Trent-Severn waterway was created to connect Georgian Bay Lake and Ontario Lake for navigation of small recreational boats. You can using St. Lawrence river get all the way to the Atlantic ocean.
There are 37 locks that will bring boat 80m up and 182m down, on the travel from GBL to Ontario lake.
You can rent a House-boat and spend vacation traveling this waterway. It would be amazing.
Around every lock there is small town with all local attractions and cuisine.
Lock passes are available from the government website. They are sold as daily, weekly or annual.
It is interesting to see how fast they work and operate reliable for so many years .
Conveniently for us, there is clean washroom and resting benches on each of them. Perfect spot for tour brake.
