Trent-Severn waterway was created to connect Georgian Bay Lake and Ontario Lake for navigation of small recreational boats.
There are 37 locks that will bring boat 80m up and 182m down, on the travel from GBL to Ontario lake.
You can rent a House-boat and spend vacation traveling this waterway. It would be amazing.
Lock passes are available from the government website. They are sold as daily, weekly or annual.
It is interesting to see how fast they work and operate reliable for so many years .
Conveniently for us, there is clean washroom and resting benches on each of them. Perfect spot for tour brake.
