Two branches of the Blau (yes, the river is really called that) flow through the fishing district and then flow into the Danube. Here are beautiful old half-timbered houses from the 15th to 17th centuries. Parts of their foundation are located directly in the water. The soft subsoil caused the houses to separate over time and get in a lopsided position. So it's no wonder that you can find the Hotel “Schiefes Haus” here. The name Fischer-Viertel comes from the fishermen who settled there in the Middle Ages and took small boats to the Danube to return with fresh fish.

The building, which is over 600 years old, "hangs" over the blue and its half-timbered structure impressively shows the inclination through the beams bent down towards the water.
