The locals call the spikenails the "flowering mountain" - not without reason: on the way to the summit you will find alpine roses, flowering meadows and slopes with arnica, lady's mantle, columbine and much more. A beautiful and varied hike with a fantastic view of the surrounding mountains far into the Hohe Tauern and especially of the majestic Großer Rettenstein. On the way to the summit you pass the Hirzeggalm - a stop is highly recommended. Here's the best Kaiserschmarrn far and wide!

From the 1,881 meter high summit of the Spike Nails you have a wonderful view of the surrounding mountains. Sit on the rocks, let your eyes wander and enjoy the magnificent panorama. The summit cross of the pike nails was set up by the young farmers / rural youth, there you will also find a summit book to perpetuate.
