At the Lauterecken-Grumbach train station, the Lautertalbahn runs every hour to Kaiserslautern. You also have the option of taking the regional bus route in the direction of Staudernheim or Altenglan.

Lauterecken-Grumbach train station is the ideal starting point for many excursions and tours: the Glan-Blies cycle path from Sarreguemines to Staudernheim leads directly past the train station, the Lautertal cycle path to Kaiserslautern starts there. There are information boards for both cycle paths on the station forecourt. From Lauterecken, hikers can start on the Palatinate High Trail in the direction of Meisenheim and as far as Winnweiler, as well as on the Veldenz hiking trail that leads to Lichtenberg Castle. Lauterecken is also the start and finish point of the draisinenbahn (draisinentour.de)

There is a lot of hustle and bustle at the station forecourt when the train and bus arrive at the same time. Today, the station is a restaurant with outside seating, which many cyclists who ride the Glan cycle path take a break. There are oh two goods sheds behind the station.
