South of Linars, the lock is placed between the islands of Fleurac, on the GRP route "between Angoulois and Périgord". Popular place for walkers. Refreshment bar open during the season, possibility of fast food.
Very easy to reach by bike from Angoulême, including for children. Ideal destination for families - with young children - looking for a short cycling adventure from the center of Angoulême.
Possibility of crossing the Charente and joining Saint-Michel further south.
