Another sustaining passage into the city center is the Priest Gate. Originally, here was a mighty upstream fortification, where the Ways converged from the west. Its name was given by the gate of the no longer existing minority monastery. As a counterpart to the Pragertor, also called Upper Gate, it was also called Lower Gate. The Today's facade is a replica from the years 1899-1906.
In the 14th century the gate to a former Minorite monastery was named as a women's gate. Later it was the Upper Gate. A well-preserved city gate, right next to the city church.
