A visit to one of the two viewing platforms is definitely worth it.

It is astonishing the amount of sand that was brought into the region's former mines to fill the cavities created by coal mining.

The renaturation that has been going on for years has turned the formerly barren "sand hole" into a place of relaxation close to nature.
