"... You love nature and the forest? Then visit the Leucht with its beautiful and varied landscape! We would like to inspire you to explore our forest in order to experience exciting and unusual things.
Discover huge, ancient trees, barrows from bygone times or make yourself comfortable in the Lower Rhine farm cafés, beer gardens and restaurants.
The Leucht is a 12,000 hectare forest area.
It lies between the Alps and Kamp-Lintfort and is characterized by oak and beech forests. Your destination could be one of the three nature reserves located in the forest area: The "Saure Venn", a small peat bog on the so-called Leichenweg, the "Birkenbruch" on Issumer Weg east of Xantener Straße or the "Erlenbruchwald" on the edge of the Leucht, on Rennweg. Experience the varied landscapes that are so typical of the Lower Rhine.

The Heimat- und Verkehrsverein Alpen, with the support of Volksbank Niederrhein eG, made a post mark in the groves of Leucht.
You can orientate yourself according to the colored posts and hike different routes in the forest.
Choose between the BLUE route with 4.6 km, the RED route with 6.0 km and the GREEN route with 9.5 km depending on your mood and fitness. ... "
