The church in Oberuttlau is a small late Gothic hall church in brick masonry using quarry stone, which is partially plastered. The choir has only moved in very slightly. A tower with a gable roof is built on the south side. The entire structure is provided with buttresses.

The four-bay ship is vaulted in four bays with a net vault with irregular pentagonal lozenges similar to the pilgrimage church of Grongörgen. The ribs are intercepted by semicircular services that are placed on the flat shield arch positions. The two-bay choir ends in a three-sided conclusion. A net vault in a bent row with small round keystones at the top of the vault completes the choir. The ribs grow out of semicircular wall service pieces with profiled consoles.
